TASIKMALAYA - West Java Regional Police (West Java Regional Police) held a competition for the scarcity of flying pigeons attended by thousands of participants from a number of provinces. He said that the competition for the scarcity of flying pigeons was greeted by the enthusiasm of pigeon fans from a number of cities and districts in Indonesia to compete indicating its expertise and also the ability of its pet pigeons. A considerable competition participant in the event, he said, namely from DKI Province, West Java, Central Java, and East Java, then other regions that all gathered in one arena show the privilege of each dovengka. One of the participants from Yogyakarta, Doni Faizal said that he deliberately participated with a group of fellow pigeon fans to enlive the national level of pigeons in Tasikmalaya.

"Jadi semakin cepat dan semakin tepat burung merpati masuk bangku, maka dia pemenangnya. Alhamdulillah untuk antusias peserta sangat bagus, terlihat dari seluruh Indonesia hadir," katanya.Kegiatan tersebut mendapatkan dukungan dari Pemkab Tasikmalaya karena adu ketangkasan merpati yang dihadiri peserta dari berbagai daerah itu dinilai telah mampu mendongkrak perekonomian, khususnya bagi masyarakat sekitar lokasi pelaksanaan."Bagi masyarakat Padakembang dengan hadirnya perlombaan merpati terbang ini bisa mengangkat perekonomian," kata Camat Padakembang perwakilan dari Pemkab Tasikmalaya Agianto Ahmad Tahir saat pembukaan lomba merpati terbang tingkat nasional itu.Penggemar burung merpati dari seluruh Indonesia itu berjumlah dua ribuan orang yang berkumpul di ajang Liga Penggemar Merpati Tinggi Indonesia seri Tasikmalaya yang berlangsung selama dua hari sampai Minggu 9 Juli.Lomba tersebut memperebutkan hadiah berupa trofi, Piala Kapolda Jabar, sepeda motor, sepeda hingga uang ratusan juta rupiah.
