2 Child Abuse Perpetrators In Kupang Arrested By Police

The KUPANG team of investigators from the Kupang Police, East Nusa Tenggara Police, arrested two people, namely YB and IYMB, who were perpetrators of sexual abuse of a child who was underage in Kupang Regency.

"We have arrested two perpetrators who sexually abused minors and according to the evidence and statements of the victims of the two perpetrators of sexual abuse," said Kupang Police Chief AKBP Anak Agung Gde Anom Wirata as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 5

The Kupang Police Criminal Investigation Unit through the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) worked extra hard to uncover the alleged perpetrators of the Child Abuse Case with the victim APJF (12) in January 2023.

Two perpetrators were arrested by the police investigation team, namely YB (73) and his son IYMB (50), residents of RT17 RW 006, Merdeka Village, East Kupang District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.

The Head of the Anak Agung Police, Gde Anom Wirata, explained that the two perpetrators had been detained by investigators so that the alleged perpetrator did not run away from the problems or legal processes he was facing.

The two perpetrators were neighbors of the victim and both of them committed sexual abuse at different times.

According to the former West Sumba Police Chief, the case was revealed after the victim told the victim's mother what happened so that it was reported to the police.

"We have detained the two perpetrators in the Kupang Police detention room for legal proceedings to the court," said Chief of Police Agung Gde Anom Wirata.
