MUKOMUKO - Mukomuko Regency Government (Pemkab), Bengkulu, through the Social Service has prepared a logistics reserve stock to anticipate natural disasters. This year his party received an allocation of IDR 100 million from the General Allocation Fund (DAU) to buy logistics reserves for victims of natural disasters. From the allocation of funds amounting to Rp. 100 million, he said, Rp. 50 million was used for the procurement of clothing and various types of food. Then amounting to Rp. 50 million for the procurement of various types of equipment for the elderly (elderly) and children such as pampers, school clothes, and sleeping clothes for children. His party entrusted the stock of logistical reserves in the form of food, including rice, in this regional store so that the goods would remain new when needed by people who were victims of natural disasters. "If we procure food and rice, then the logistics are temporarily stored in warehouses, then there is a possibility that the goods will expire and certainly cannot be used for the community," he said. Except for food, he said, after being purchased by a third party, logistical assistance was then stored in the warehouse of the agency and logistics was given when there was a natural disaster in this area. Currently, his party still has a small stock of disaster logistics reserves in the form of tents, mats, and clothes, which are assistance from the Provincial Social Service the previous year.
