Central Kalimantan Police Reveal 110 Drug Cases For 25 Days, 127 Suspects Arrested

Central Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) revealed 110 drug abuse cases. From the disclosure, 127 suspects were arrested.

Director of Drug Investigation at the Central Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol. Nono Wardoyo, said the hundreds of cases were the result of Operation Antik Telabang from May 29 to June 22, 2023.

"For the first evidence, there are 31 ecstasy pills, more than 1.59 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, and 272 cariprosodol drugs," he said during a press conference in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Monday, June 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

Nono detailed that during the 25 days of operation, the Central Kalimantan Police's Narcotics Directorate revealed 13 cases, 15 suspects and evidence of two ecstasy pills and 846.87 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

The Palangka Raya Police handled five cases with five suspects and 30.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine. Then the Gunung Mas Police handled three cases by arresting three suspects and confiscating 5.33 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Meanwhile, the Pulang Pisau Police revealed three cases with four suspects and evidence of 210.51 grams of crystal methamphetamine, the Kapuas Police handled nine cases and arrested 12 suspects and evidence of 10 ecstasy pills and 44.53 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

"East Barito Police have two cases, two suspects and evidence of three ecstasy pills and shabu-shabu weighing 23.07 grams. South Barito Police have two cases and two suspects and 3.84 grams of evidence confiscated methamphetamine and 130 cariprosodol," he said.

Furthermore, the North Barito Police handled five cases, six suspects and 72.78 grams of crystal methamphetamine evidence.

The Murung Raya Police revealed two cases, two suspects and evidence of 7.23 grams of crystal methamphetamine, then the Katingan Police with two cases, two suspects and evidence of 20.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Most of the arrests in the Telabang Antiquities Operation were the Kotim Police with 48 cases with 53 suspects and 16 pills of ecstasy, 232.68 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 142 cariprosodol pills were confiscated.

The Seruyan Police are handling three cases involving three suspects and evidence of 24.66 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The West Kotawaringin Police revealed six cases with nine suspects and 33.47 grams of crystal methamphetamine as evidence.

Then, the Sukamara Police had two cases, four suspects and evidence of 14.27 grams of crystal methamphetamine and the Lamandau Police handling five cases, five suspects with 21.02 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

"Of the 127 drug suspects, 44 of them are the target of operation from the police," said Nono.
