Food Station Claims Enough Rice And Oil Stock Ahead Of Eid Al-Adha 2023

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya Pamrihadi Wiraryo claims that the stock of rice and oil in Jakarta is sufficient ahead of Eid al-Adha 1444 H.

"There is no problem with Eid al-Adha. The stock reserves are more than sufficient," said Pamrihadi when met at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Monday, June 26.

Pamrihadi explained that rice stocks at the Tjipinang Jaya Rice Main Market are currently 27 thousand tons, an increase of 12 thousand tons from last month's stock of 15 thousand tons. Then, the Food Station itself has a rice supply of 20 thousand tons.

He continued, the Food Station has been anticipating rice supplies since last May. Where, this food sector BUMD conducts harvest contracts with farmers in several areas.

Pamrihadi said that his party bought grain from farmers with Ciherang rice varieties, Pulen Wangi, to Pandan Wangi to be processed at the Food Station factory.

"So this is in accordance with the needs of the Food Station. When it is planted and ripe, the Food Station will be absorbed later, that's why it's called a standby buyer," explained Pamrihadi.

With so many rice stocks, Pamrihadi views that rice prices in the capital will not increase ahead of religious holidays.

"There is no problem with the price because it has been locked at the highest retail price. If the rice is Rp. 13,900 for the premium," said Pamrihadi.

Likewise with oil commodities. Pamrihadi claims that currently there is no increase in the price of Oilita produced in warehouses owned by the Food Station with a production quantity of 5 thousand liters per hour.

"In fact, in some areas there has been an increase in prices, while in DKI Jakarta it is stable because of the presence of the Food Station producing its own. So far, we buy oil in Jakarta from the regions, now we produce it ourselves, so DKI Jakarta is stable," he added.
