AKP SW Will Be Fired If Proven To Be Fraudulent Rp310 Million

Assistant Chief of Police for Human Resources (As HR) Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo confirmed the Police's commitment to take firm action against police officers who commit criminal acts of fraud in the mode of recruiting police officers.

This is evidenced by removing the position of AKP SW from the Deputy Head of Binmas Cirebon Police to Pama Yanmas Polda West Java.

In addition, AKP SW underwent a special placement period (patsus) before the Police Code of Ethics Session to account for his actions.

Dedi said that the sanctions for dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) and the crime are waiting for AKP SW if he is proven to have committed a criminal act of fraud.

"PTDH and if proven, it is the Police's commitment. Let the ethical process run and also the punishment," said Dedi, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.

The former Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police again reminded the public not to believe in the promising modes of being accepted by members of the National Police by paying to irresponsible parties.

He appealed to the public to prepare themselves at the opening of the Police selection, then train themselves to be able to follow the selection to the fullest.

"The Headquarters continues to urge the public to prepare themselves optimally and must believe in their own abilities," said Dedi.

The alleged fraud case with the victim, a porridge trader named Wahidin from Kejuden Village, Depok District, Cirebon Regency, occurred in 2021.

The victim handed over the money to the police AKP SW and an ASN retiree in Jakarta with the initials N amounting to Rp310 million. By handing over the money, the two perpetrators promised the victim their child would be accepted as a member of the police.

The recruitment process for members of the National Police with a very strict system so that if there are individuals who promise to pass the community to become members of the police, he asserts that it must be a fraud or a lie.

Dedi said that his party had taken steps to prevent the practice of fraud in the recruitment of Polri members by carrying out education and socialization to the public, either directly or via digital.

"Actually, the National Police Headquarters has opened a digital communication room on all SSDM social media platforms from the police, police, regional police, to the headquarters," said Dedi.

He said that the National Police's SSDM conducted socialization and education as well as hotline channels to accommodate the Dumas HR community for literacy related to the recruitment mechanism of Polri members.

In fact, this year the National Police's SSDM carries the recruitment of the National Police by applying the principle OF BETAH, namely clean, transparent, accountable, and humanist.

"Massively and opening the Dumas HR hotline channel for literacy, socialization, and education, but there are still people who are easily affected by things like that (recruitment can be entrusted and paid for)," said Dedi.

Therefore, said Dedi, education, socialization, and literacy related to the recruitment of members of the National Police with the principle of BETAH massively so that no more people become victims.

"Socialization and literacy activities will continue to be conveyed and take firm action against anyone who is proven guilty," he said.
