JAKARTA - Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and discussed improving bilateral relations.
Reported by ANTARA, Thursday, June 15, the meeting which lasted about an hour at the Parliament building, Kuala Lumpur, discussed efforts to intensify bilateral relations between Malaysia and the UAE.
According to PMAnwar, the two parties exchanged opinions regarding regional and global issues that were of common concern.
Malaysian Foreign Minister Zambry Abdul Kadir and the UAE delegation also attended the bilateral meeting.
Previously, the Malaysian Foreign Minister and the UAE had met and discussed various issues of bilateral cooperation after the status of relations between the two countries was upgraded to a strategic partnership on September 22, 2022.

The two foreign ministers also agreed to start a Joint Working Committee (JCC) meeting between Malaysia and the UAE as a platform to strengthen ongoing efforts to improve relations to a higher level, including exploring potential new areas of cooperation.
