TNI Personnel Stab Buskers Entering The New Round, Allegedly There Are Other Perpetrators From Civilians

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police are coordinating with the Military Police of Kodam (Pomdam) Jaya in handling the stabbing case carried out by Private One (Pratu) J against a street busker in the Senen area. "We are waiting for the results of the Pomdam investigation, whether there is involvement of civilians. Even if there is indeed a process," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin when confirmed, Monday, June 12. Currently, Pomdam Jaya is still investigating the perpetrator with the initials Soldier Satu (Pratu) J to find out if there is involvement of other residents when the stabbing occurs. Meanwhile, the facts known from the perpetrators are an active TNI member. "If from the examination there is involvement of other people, we will process it as well," he said. Meanwhile, the Commander of Pomdam Jaya Colonel CPM Irsyad Hamdie Bey Anwar said, Pratu J has been named a suspect.

"The suspect has been detained at Pomdam Jaya and is being investigated," he said. As is known, Pratu J is a member of the Indonesian Army who served at Kodam XVI Pattimura, Maluku Islands. The perpetrator stabbed the victim to death using a sharp weapon (sajam) on the right chest once. The incident occurred on the sidewalk of Jalan Kramat Raya, Senen, Central Jakarta, last Thursday, June 8.
