The Attorney General's Office Transfers Suspect Johnny G Plate To The South Jakarta Prosecutor's Office

JAKARTA - Investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office have handed over evidence and the suspect Johnny G Plate to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the South Jakarta District Attorney (Jaksel).

Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, said that after the second phase of the transfer of corruption case in the provision of Base Tranceiver Station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for the Ministry of Communication and Informatics for the 2020-2022 period, it was immediately tried after the Public Prosecutor made the indictment.

"Friday, June 9, 2023, at the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office, the Investigation Prosecutor's Team of the Jampidsus Investigation Directorate has handed over the suspect's responsibility and evidence of the JGP suspect's case file (Johnny G Plate) to the Public Prosecutor's Team," Sumedana said as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 9.

After being delegated, Johnny G Plate was again detained in the interest of the prosecution stage for 20 days starting from June 9 to June 28, 2023 at the Salemba Rutan at the South Jakarta District Attorney branch.

"After handing over the responsibilities and evidence, the Public Prosecutor's Team will immediately prepare an indictment letter to complete the transfer of the JGP suspect case file to the Central Jakarta Corruption Court," said Sumedana.

He explained that the implementation of phase II of the suspect's case file Johnny G Plate was the development of cases of alleged corruption in the provision of 4G Base Transceiver Station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for packages 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 BAKTI of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology 2020 to 2022.

Previously, the Jampidsus Investigative Team had delegated phase II of five other suspects, namely Anang Achmad Latif (AAL) as President Director of BAKTI Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Gahole Menak (GMS) as President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Yohan Suryanto (YS) as a Human Development (HUDEV) expert at the University of Indonesia in 2020 on May 2, 2023.

Then, phase II of the suspect Mukti Ali (MA) is a suspect from PT Huwaei Technology Investment and Irwan Hermawan (IH) as Commissioner of PT Solitchmedia Synergy on May 22, 2023.

As for the suspect Windi Purnama, as the confidant of the suspect Irwan Hermawan (IH) is still in the process of filing the case to be immediately delegated to phase II.

In the investigation of the corruption case that caused state financial losses of Rp8.32 trillion, the Attorney General's Office Jampidsus investigators examined 498 witnesses and dismissed 25 witnesses.

Until now, investigators are still carrying out a series of tracing assets by conducting searches and confiscations in 10 places from the seven suspects who have been named.

"We are carrying out tracing assets in order to recover assets, return assets whose losses have been calculated," said Ketut.
