Wearing Traditional Clothing, Jokowi Leads The Pancasila Birthday Commemoration Ceremony

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo arrived at the Jakarta National Monument Field to lead the Pancasila Birthday Commemoration Ceremony, Thursday, June 1.

The President arrived at around 07.55 WIB accompanied by the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Yudian Wahyudi on the south side of the National Monument Field, Jakarta.

Quoting Antara, Jokowi, who acted as Inspector of Ceremonies, was seen wearing black Deli Sultanate traditional clothes and gold nuances equipped with a keris and head covering.

A number of officials who attended the Ceremony included Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani, MPR Chair Bambang Soesatyo and Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono. Also present was the Chairman of the Steering Committee of BPIP Megawati Soekarnoputri.

During the Pancasila Birthday Commemoration Ceremony, the invited guests who attended also wore traditional clothes.

The one who acted as the commander of today's ceremony was the Traffic Director of the Yogyakarta Special Region Police (DIY) Kombes Police Alfian Nurrizal.

Then, acting as a ceremonial officer was the Permanent Garrison Command (Kaskogartap) I/Jakarta Brigadier General Arkamelvi Karman.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, also read the script for the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Pancasila birthday ceremony involved more than 4,000 people consisting of ceremony troops, invited guests, ceremony participants, officers, and the ceremonial committee.
