YOGYAKARTA Former Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Police Chief Inspector General Rudy Sufahriadi officially serves as the Main Secretary (Sestama) of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas). Born in Cimahi, West Java, on August 23, 1965, Rudy Sufahriadi graduated from the Police Academy in 1988.

After graduating from the Akpol, Rudy was appointed Commander of the Brimob Kie 3 516 Kelapa Dua Battalion, Jakarta. In 1992, Rudy was entrusted to become Commander of the Brimob Company Kie 5994 Kelapa Dua.

Next, Rudi was transferred to Head of the Brimob Investigation Unit of the Serse Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya in 1997.

On the sidelines of his busy schedule as the first officer in the Brimob ranks, Rudy continued his education at the Police Science College in 1996. After graduating, Rudy was appointed Commander of Battalion A of the Papua Police Mobile Brigade Unit in 2000.

The following year, Rudy was transferred again. He was appointed Deputy Head of the Maluku Police Mobile Brigade Unit, and in 2004, he was asked to become Deputy Head of Unit I Gegana of the Brimob Police Corps.

After carrying out his duties in eastern Indonesia, Rudy resumed his education. This time, he entered the National Police Leadership School (Sespim) and the National Defense Institute in 2013.

In 2016, Rudy Sufahriadi served as Kapolda of Central Sulawesi. After two years as Kapolda of Central Sulawesi, he was appointed Head of the Brimob Police Corps in 2018.

In 2019, Rudy was appointed as the West Java Police Chief. Then, Rudy was transferred to Widyaiswara Level I Sespim Lemdiklat Polri in 2020. The mutation was the aftermath of the crowd of Rizieq Shihab's event in Megamendung.

Nine months after the Megamendung crowd incident, Rudy's career rose again. During the leadership of General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Rudy was trusted as the Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Police Chief. Most recently, Rudy was appointed as the Main Secretary (Sestama) of the National Resilience Institution (Lemhanas) on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Inspector General Rudy Sufahriadi has a good track record, one of which leads Operation Madago Raya in eradicating the East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) terrorist group in Poso, Central Sulawesi.

Under his leadership as Kapolda, Operation Madago Raya managed to paralyze Askar alias Jaid, who is a high-ranking MIT officer.
