Puan Maharani Appreciates The U-22 National Team For The 2023 SEA Games Gold

JAKARTA - DPR Speaker Puan Maharani appreciated the victory of the U-22 Football National Team which won a gold medal at the 2023 Cambodian SEA Games.

"Apresiasi keberhasilan Timnas U-22 yang berhasil meraih emas olahraga sepak bola setelah penantian panjang selama 32 tahun," kata Puan saat membuka Rapat Paripurna DPR RI Ke-23 Masa Pengadilan V Tahun Sidangan 2022-2023 di gedung DPR, Senayan, Jakarta, dilansir ANTARA, Jumat, 19 Mei.

The Indonesian U-22 National Team ended the 32-year gold medal wait from the soccer sport, thanks to a 5-2 win over Thailand in the final match at the National Stadium, Phnom Penh, Tuesday (16/5) night.

"Finally, he has been treated thanks to the hard work of the Garuda squad in the final match against Thailand," he said.

Puan expressed her pride for the victory achieved by the Indonesian U-22 Football National Team or the Garuda Muda team to make the nation proud at the biggest sporting event in Southeast Asia.

"We are all also proud of the achievements that have been achieved by the nation's best sons and daughters," he said.

Overall, Puan congratulated and thanked all Indonesian contingents for their achievements at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia.

Puan then continued the session of the plenary meeting. Based on notes from the Secretariat General of the DPR, at the beginning of the plenary meeting, the DPR RI had been signed by 40 physical presences, 255 virtual people, and 44 people's permits.

"So there are 339 members from all factions in the DPR," said Puan.

This plenary meeting is scheduled for the Government's submission to the Macroeconomic Framework and the Principles of Fiscal Policy (KEM and PPKF) of the RAPBN for the 2024 Fiscal Year.
