BANDA ACEH - The Lhokseumawe District Attorney's Investigation Team (Kejari), Aceh, confiscated assets belonging to Hariadi, a suspect in the corruption crime of PT Arun Lhokseumawe Hospital with state losses reaching Rp44.9 billion.

Head of the Intelligence Section of the Lhokseumawe District Attorney's Office, Therry Gutama, said the assets were confiscated in connection with a corruption case being handled by the Lhokseumawe Kejari.

"The confiscation was carried out because it is strongly suspected that the assets were obtained from the corruption proceeds of alleged abuse of authority and financial abuse in the management of PT Arun Lhokseumawe Hospital which reached Rp44.9 billion," said Therry as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 17.

The assets confiscated were three documents or land and home property certificates, one Honda Civic car, one Honda CBR 250RR motorcycle and one Yamaha WR 155 R motorcycle.

During the confiscation of assets, Hariadi's family witnessed. The assets confiscated by both movable and immovable assets are assets from 2026 to 2022.

"Currently, some of the confiscated assets have been brought to the Lhokseumawe Prosecutor's Office to be used as evidence in the case," he said.

Previously, the Lhokseumawe Kejari named Hariadi as a suspect in a corruption case at PT Arun Lhokseumawe Hospital with state losses reaching Rp44.9 billion.

Hariadi is the President Director of PT RS Arun Lhokseumawe for the 2016-2022 period. Investigators had examined Hariadi as a witness before finally being named a suspect. Prosecutors have also confiscated the alleged flow of funds for the corruption case amounting to Rp7.8 billion.

Hariadi is currently being held at Lhokseumawe Prison. The detention was carried out for fear that the suspect fled and damaged or lost evidence and took action to obstruct the investigation process.
