Transjakarta Please Connect Routes With Trans Pakuan Not Burdening DKI Finances

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Transjakarta Welfizon Yuza hopes that the connecting of the bus route between Transjakarta and Trans Pakuan will not increase regional financial burdens, both the Regional Budget and Transjakarta's finances as a company owned by the DKI Provincial Government.

Therefore, as long as it is still in the planning stage, these two regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) are still looking for appropriate business or funding schemes for the operation of the bus route from Bogor to Cibubur, East Jakarta.

"In terms of funding, in terms of financing, the principle is that it does not burden DKI's finances and also does not burden the company's finances. We will look for a pattern that won2 is currently being studied, the willingness to pay, the probability to pay is like what," said Welfizon at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, May 16.

The Transjakarta-Trans Pakuan cooperation plan was revealed in a meeting between the Mayor of Bogor Bima Arya and the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono some time ago.

Currently, the cooperation scheme between Transjakarta and Trans Pakuan has not been discussed comprehensively. The plan is for the Trans Pakuan bus to become a feeder to take residents from Bogor to Cibubur, East Jakarta.

Furthermore, Transjakarta will pick up passengers arriving from Bogor in Cibubur to take them to the middle of the city of Jakarta or to the destination location.

The planning stage for the connection of the Transjakarta-Trans Pakuan route was continued on Thursday, May 11, namely the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) carried out by the two companies.

"MoU itu adalah membentuk tim bersama untuk bisa mempercepat proses kerja sama ini. Tim teknis sedang membahas, baik itu dari sisi operasional dan layanannya atau dari sisi-isi lainnya," ucap Welfizon.

Welfizon said that cooperation in the integration of the Transjakarta-Trans Pakuan bus route is targeted to begin implementing in December.

"If the format is already there, in the near future we will start with a trial later. Later, we will start the evaluation, then we will follow up with a permanent one. The target (operation) will definitely be this year," he explained.
