Will Meet SBY, Prabowo: Retired Fellow Meeting

General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, said that the plan to stay in touch with the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was a meeting between fellow retired.

Prabowo was met after the gathering agenda with the National Police's Retired Union (PP) extended family in Jakarta, Monday also said that his planned meeting with SBY was normal.

"Meetings between fellow retired people, that's normal," Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 15.

Nevertheless, Prabowo admitted that he did not know when the plan to stay in touch with the Chairman of the Democratic Party's High Council would be implemented.

"I don't know (when to stay in touch with SBY). God willing," he said briefly. After the closed meeting with the retired Police officer, Prabowo was reluctant to talk much about politics.

"This cannot be politics here. There is no politics," said Prabowo.

Previously, the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that Prabowo Subianto planned to stay in touch with SBY.

"Oh yes, Pak Prabowo wants to be halal bi halal and stay in touch with Pak SBY," said Dasco at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (11/5).

However, he admitted that he could not confirm when Prabowo's visit to SBY would be made.

"We have not received any further updates regarding the realization of when the gathering will be held, we will convey it to the media if there is a plan or realization of the gathering," he added.

Dasco also said that he could not confirm whether the meeting would also discuss the invitation for the Democratic Party to join the Gerindra Party and PKB coalitions.

He only explained that the gathering was intended in the context of the 2023 Eid halalbihalal.

"What I know is that the plan for the event is to stay in touch and halal bi halal Eid al-Fitr, that's all," he said.
