MAKASSAR - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) is committed to handling the Soppeng-Pangkajene Sidraprampung border section this year.

"Soppeng - Pangkajene Sidrap Border Road Section has been registered in the work package for the 2023 fiscal year worth Rp. 16 billion," said Head of Highways at the South Sulawesi PUTR Office, Irawan Darmayamin in Makassar, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 10.

The provincial government through the South Sulawesi Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUTR) Office continues to strive to achieve sustainable development goals and meet the needs of the community.

Moreover, this section is one of the priorities of the Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman.

He explained that the handling of the road section includes road construction, road reconstruction, road rehabilitation and bridge construction.

His party will maximize unfinished work for the convenience of the community.

"However, because the work in 2022 is not completed, we have adjusted the Rp16 billion budget back to maximize the handling of this unfinished package.

In addition to these roads, the South Sulawesi Provincial Government this year will also handle several sections including the Boro road in Jeneponto Regency.

"God willing, this year we will again handle the Boro road section in Jeneponto. Our target is that God willing, a segment will be severely damaged," he said.
