JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said the DKI Provincial Government (Pemprov) together with the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) are discussing arrangements for office working hours in Jakarta to reduce congestion.
"(The arrangement of office hours in Jakarta) is being discussed with the Department of Transportation (by conducting) the FGD, immediately. I have asked (to the DKI Transportation Agency) to be compiled again, who are the activists," Heru said at DKI City Hall, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 3.
Heru explained that his party already has the concept of employee entry hours which can be divided into two sessions, namely 08.00 WIB and 10.00 WIB.
"The entry of each building must be half, at 80.00 WIB with 10.00 WIB," continued Heru.
According to Heru, the distribution of employee entry hours can make it easier for employees to take their children to school.
"It (employees) came from home at 06.00 WIB to send school children first, at 07.00 WIB he (goed) to the office at 08.00 WIB," said Heru.
The division of working hours can be adjusted to their respective companies.
"At 8 or 10 it will be discussed (over the FGD) depending on their respective private (companies)," continued Heru.

Heru believes that the division of working hours will reduce the level of congestion in DKI Jakarta by 30 percent.
"If it's like Thamrin and Gatot Subroto (enter work) at 08.00 WIB and 50 percent (employee) to work, it means that approximately 30 percent can reduce (congestion), hopefully," said Heru.
