Otista Rebuilt, Satlantas Prepares Three Path Options To Bogor Palace

The Bogor Police Traffic Unit, West Java Police have prepared three path options that VVIP entourage can use to go to the Bogor Palace for the next eight months due to the re-building of the Otista bridge near the Kujang Monument which will be widened to remove traffic flow blockages.

"We have offered, yesterday we coordinated, we have three routes, three alternatives. Later from the inside party (Istana) we will coordinate, choose which one, we prepare the three," said Head of Traffic Unit for Bogor City Police, Kompol Galih Apria, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, April 29.

Kompol Galih said, one of them still as usual departed from the direction of the Amaris Hotel and returned to the same direction.

"We will still discuss the rest later, coordinate with all relevant parties," he said.

However, said Galih, regarding the plan to divert traffic flow by temporarily stopping the one-way system (SSA) on May 1, 2023, according to the wishes of the Bogor City Government to start the construction of the Otista Bridge, they are still waiting for completion preparations.

"So the preparation of the equipment, the red light has not been installed, there is also no road divider. This means that we will still see all of our efforts to fulfill it. If that is not there, we cannot divert the flow," he explained.

According to Galih, diverting the current is too risky when the equipment preparation has not been completed. If it is not completed until May 1, 2023, it is possible to wait again until the complete equipment is installed.

The Bogor City Government has auctioned off the construction of the Otista Bridge which will be widened so that there will be no more obstacles to traffic flow in the city center along the one-way system (SSA).

The initial development plan began on May 1, 2023, which was won by PT Mina Fajar Abadi worth Rp49 billion from the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) budget assistance.

Previously, the West Java Provincial Government had also disbursed a budget of IDR 52 billion for land acquisition for residents around the Otista bridge which was affected by the widening.

SSA has been in effect around Plaza Bogor, Bogor Market, Lawang Surya Kencana, Bogor Botanical Gardens, BTM Malls, Bogor Palace, Bogor City Hall, Sempur, Plaza Kebon Raya, IPB Baranangsiang, Botani Square and Tugu Kujang.

With the SSA being implemented by the Bogor City center, there will be no more traffic jams on the route, except for a slight vehicle traffic jam due to the inspection of the road at the Otista Bridge from the Tugu Kujang direction.

The SSA line has been used as a VVIP route for President Jokowi's entourage to the Bogor Palace, as well as being the one-on-one access for the entire community to circle the city center.
