PALANGKA RAYA - Mayor of Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Fairid Naparin will impose sanctions on state civil servants (ASN) within the local city government (Pemkot) who have increased the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri holiday. "Sanctions for city government ASNs who add Eid leave holidays in accordance with the ASN Law, I will take firm action according to the rules if I dare to add more," Fairid said in Palangka Raya, Antara, Wednesday, April 26. He said, today every ASN in a number of offices is required to carry out an early morning rally to work. Then his party has also distributed Inspectorate employees to every city government agency, to check the presence of ASN. Until now, there are still several agencies that have not provided reports of their presence to Inspectorate employees, therefore they are waiting until the afternoon so that they will find out which employees are adding to the holidays. "I am still waiting for a report from the Inspectorate. If it is found later, of course sanctions will be given in accordance with applicable regulations," he explained. Regarding the application for additional leave as submitted by President Joko Widodo, Fairid emphasized that until now there have been no ASN employees of the Palangka Raya City Government who have applied for additional Eid leave. "No ASN has applied for additional Lebaran leave to date," he explained. The youngest mayor in Central Kalimantan added that ASN after the Lebaran holiday were asked to immediately adjust the working hours on normal days. Whereas previously in Ramadan 1444 Hijri there were changes in working hours.

"I also ask ASNs to adjust working hours as usual, I hope that all of them can apply according to the applicable regulations," Fairid said.
