JAKARTA - During Lebaran 2023 cases of traffic accidents (accident) in areas in Jayapura are reduced.

Jayapura Police Chief AKBP Fredrickus Maclarimboen said that during Lebaran 2023 his party received two reports of accident cases.

"During Lebaran we only received two reports, meaning that the accident case in Jayapura Regency during Lebaran was reduced," he said, quoting Antara.

According to the Police Chief, his party always routinely provides socialization to the public about traffic rules when driving through the Jayapura Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas).

"Usually, there are only two reports that come in through the Traffic Unit regarding traffic accidents, but for Eid al-Fitr 2023, only two reports have been received," he said.

He explained that when people obey traffic rules, they will be safe and safe while driving on the road.

"But on the other hand, if you don't comply with traffic rules while driving, then of course the consequences will also be on the highway," he said again.

He added that the public is starting to realize and understand the traffic rules so that in Lebaran 2023 cases will be reduced.

"We hope that people will always obey and be entrusted while driving, taking care of yourself means taking care of others too because if there is an impact, it is not only for yourself but also for others," he said again.
