North Lombok Resort Police Investigator, West Nusa Tenggara, has six names of potential suspects in the alleged corruption case of the solar-powered drilling well construction project.
"In this case, there are already six potential suspects," said North Lombok Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police I Wayan Sudarmanta as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 18.
He said among the six potential suspects, there were three people from the private sector.
"What is clear is that their respective roles are related to one another, there are those in charge, third parties and other parts," he said.
Even though he has the name of a potential suspect, Sudarmanta has not been able to confirm the agenda for determination. "For the time being, the determination is that we still need time," he added.
In handling this case, investigators have pocketed the state loss resulting from an audit by the NTB Representative Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) worth Rp455 million.
Auditors see the state loss figures appearing in this case as a total loss. The auditors drew such conclusions seeing allegations of distribution and specifications of tools that were not in accordance with the planning.
"For more details, later it will be an expert (BPKP NTB) who will explain at the trial," said the Police Chief.
The project, named the shallow groundwater irrigation work package and the completeness of the solar-powered water pump, was carried out in the 2016 fiscal year.
