Water Tank Truck Crashes Into Kebon Nanas Toll Gate Fence, Driver: I'm Daydreaming, Fasting

JAKARTA - A tanker truck with number B 9719 TFU filled with mineral water had a single accident and capsized in front of the Kebon Nanas toll gate entrance, East Jakarta on Monday, April 17, afternoon.

At the time of the incident, a tanker truck with the words "Air Anugrah Mandiri" coming from Bogor, West Java, was coming from the direction of Cawang to Jatinegara via the fast lane of the vehicle.

However, when the truck driver is sleepy, the car starts to roll and the driver is unable to control his vehicle.

"Daydreaming, my position is fasting," said Adi, a water tanker truck driver to VOI at the scene of the incident, Monday, April 17.

When he realized that his car was out of control, the driver swerved to the left until he hit the iron bars dividing the toll gate and damaged it. Meanwhile, the truck immediately reversed to the right.

"At first glance, I avoid motorbikes. I'm confused about where to turn, instead of crashing my motorbike and it's someone's business, I'd better change the steering wheel," he said.

There were no fatalities as a result of the accident. However, damage occurred to the front bumper of the truck and the broken windshield of the truck. The driver of the car only suffered minor injuries to his leg.

"I'm from Bogor going to Kebalen Park, Babelan. A truck loaded with 8 cubic meters of water wants to deliver it to consumers," he said.

Furthermore, PJR officers and the East Jakarta Regional Traffic Unit came to the scene of the incident. The truck was then evacuated using a crane belonging to the East Jakarta Regional Traffic Unit. The truck was then brought to the East Jakarta Traffic Traffic Office for further processing.
