UIN Lecturer Forum Suska Riau Reports Alleged Corruption Remuneration To KPK

RIAU - Lecturer for the Islamic University (UIN) Sultan Syarif Kasim (Suska) Riau reported the alleged corruption in cutting the remuneration of the lecturer that occurred at the Islamic campus to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Chairman of the UIN Lecturer Forum Suska Riau Irwandra said this report was also related to the reduction in remuneration at 1,190 lecturers and employees who worked at the UIN Suska Riau campus. "We visited the KPK last Tuesday to report allegations of corruption. We have tried to make an approach so that this problem can be resolved, but it has not been resolved," said Irwandra when confirmed in Pekanbaru, Antara, Friday, April 14. He said that UIN Chancellor Suska Riau Khairunnas Rajab had argued that this cut was a regulatory mistake made by the previous rector. In addition to cutting remuneration, his party also reported allegations of corruption in the procurement of goods and services as well as a fictitious project at one of the faculties at the UIN Suska campus. "If you add up the loss of more than Rp. 12-13 billion," he said. This report also answers the statement of Chancellor Khairunnas in one of the mass media who proposes to report to law enforcers if there is suspicion. "Yesterday after we submitted the report, we were also questioned by KPK officers," he said. When contacted regarding the report submitted by the lecturers, the Chancellor of Khairunnas Rajab admitted that he left everything to the applicable legal channel.

"Regarding reports, let the law speak. Indonesia is a state of law, so whatever is done must not go against the law, including the report can turn around. Everything has consequences," he asserted.
