Allegations Of Land Corruption In Mijen, Central Java Police Explore Ex-Walkot Semarang Sukawi's Information

Central Java Police will investigate the statement of the former Mayor (Walkot) of Semarang Sukawi Sutarip in an investigation into the alleged corruption case in the certification of grant land for the Semarang City Government in the Mijen area.

"We have sent a summons," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol Dwi Subagio in Semarang, Central Java, Thursday, April 13, as reported by Antara.

According to him, all parties related to the land certification process carried out in 2010 will be summoned.

The examination, he continued, was to find out the process carried out from start to finish.

Although no criminal element has been found, he said, an examination to obtain information related to the problem will be carried out.

According to him, there are 13 witnesses who have been questioned in the investigation into alleged corruption.

"Examined once, twice, it is a technical investigation. We are currently investigating all information," he said.

Previously, the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police investigated allegations of corruption in the budget for grant certification for the Semarang City Government in the Mijen area in 2010.

The late Iwan Budi is scheduled to be questioned by Central Java Police investigators on August 25, 2022, on the same day he was reported missing and found dead on fire.
