Today's AG Verdict Session Is Open To The Public

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta District Court (PN) will hold a follow-up trial for the defendant AG (15) with the case of the David Ozora persecution case. Today's trial has an agenda for reading the verdict. South Jakarta District Court Public Relations Officer, Djuyamto, said the trial would be held on Monday, April 10, at 14.00 WIB.

"That the reading of the verdict is carried out in a public trial in the children's courtroom," said Djuyamto in his statement, Monday, April 10.

Even though the trial was held openly, said Djuyamto, there were still limits on visitors who could enter the afternoon room. Because the courtroom is used specifically for children.

"That the capacity of the trial room for the South Jakarta District Court child covering an area of 6X10 square meters can only be attended by a maximum of 20 personnel including judges, substitute clerks, public prosecutors, defendants, parents and legal advisors of the defendant, community supervisors, social workers accompanying the defendant, the victim's family," he concluded.

Previously reported, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) demanded that Mario Dandy's girlfriend, AG be charged with Article 355 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. with a threat of 4 years. This was directly said by the Head of the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office (Kajari) Syarief Sulaeman.

"So the prosecutor's claim is to declare the child in conflict with the law guilty of committing a criminal act of Article 355 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code in other words a criminal act of severe persecution with a plan," Syarief told reporters at the South Jakarta District Court (PN), Wednesday, April 5.

Syarief explained that the aggravating thing in the lawsuit was because Mario Dandy's girlfriend was involved in a severe assault case which resulted in the victim being seriously injured.

"Obviously the aggravating thing is certain because the actions of children in conflict with this law cause serious injuries," he said.

He revealed that AG will be placed in the Special Child Development Institution (LPKA).

"Then the person concerned is one of them being sentenced to a criminal sentence at LPKA for 4 years," he said.
