Overcoming Extreme Poverty In West Sulawesi Which Reaches 2.94 Percent Through The 2024 RKPD Program

MAMUJU - Extreme poverty in West Sulawesi Province reached 2.94 percent so that the 2024 local government (RKPD) work plan is directed to overcome this problem.

"The development problem in West Sulawesi includes extreme poverty which reached 2.94 percent or around 41.406 people," said West Sulawesi Provincial Secretary Muhammad Idris Dp in Mamuju, Saturday.

It is said that another development problem is that the percentage of poor people in West Sulawesi in 2022 is still high, reaching 11.92 percent or 169.26 thousand people.

In addition, based on the survey on the status of Indonesian nutrition (SSGI), the stunting rate in West Sulawesi will reach 33.8 percent in 2021.

"The stunting rate in West Sulawesi will increase to 35 percent in 2022 or an increase of 1.2 percent," he said.

According to him, the development problem will be overcome through the West Sulawesi government RKPD program in 2024.

He stated that the West Sulawesi government requested that district governments throughout West Sulawesi also be able to develop quality RKPDs to overcome the development problem.

"The West Sulawesi government RKPD and district governments must also comply with national development policy programs to formulate regional policies," he said.

"The direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, regarding national policies, must receive attention from regional heads, namely reducing extreme poverty and stunting rates that occur in West Sulawesi," he said.

"The 2024 RKPD must be able to be a solution to regional development problems, taking into account strategic issues that are currently developing, development planning based on valid data must be optimized, for effectiveness in achieving development on target," he said.

Local governments must focus on providing and fulfilling minimum service standards (SPM) for the community, especially in the fields of education and health affairs, as well as infrastructure.
