Spokesperson For Denying Coordinating Minister Luhut Back Up Riau Regional Secretary SF Hariyanto Who Was Examined By The KPK In The Aftermath Of Flexing

RIAU - The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Riau Province, SF Hariyanto, has been in the spotlight following allegations of showing off aka flexing a luxurious lifestyle.

In the aftermath of today, Hariyanto was summoned by the KPK to clarify his state administrators' assets report (LHKPN).

In this regard, Jodi Mahardi, Spokesperson for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, denied that Luhut had backed up Hariyanto.

"There has never been a back up. As far as I know, Pak Luhut has never met the Riau Regional Secretary," he said when contacted in Jakarta, Thursday, April 6, was confiscated by Antara.

This was conveyed by Jodi when asked for a response regarding Hariyanto's issue, which is currently being investigated by the KPK

Separately, students who call themselves the Riau Student Youth Movement Care for Justice held a demonstration in front of the KPK's Red and White Building, South Jakarta. They demanded that the anti-corruption agency investigate the assets of the Riau Provincial Secretary SF Hariyanto.

"After what the Riau Provincial Secretary SF Hariyanto did about the flexing of his family's luxurious life, we need to convey that the KPK RI summons SF Hariyanto and examines his assets," said Fatur action coordinator at the KPK's Red and White House, Jakarta, Thursday 6 April.

The protesters also demanded that the KPK form a special team to conduct an examination of Hariyanto and said that showing off his wealth by Hariyanto's family had hurt people's hearts.

To note, Riau Regional Secretary SF Hariyanto today fulfilled the KPK's summons to provide clarification about his LHKPN.

Hariyanto arrived at the KPK's Red and White Building at 8.35 WIB, but did not comment much on his arrival and chose to go directly to the KPK's Red and White Building lobby. He then entered the clarification room at around 9.08 WIB.

Riau Provincial Secretary SF Hariyanto has been in the spotlight of netizens after the appearance of a video celebrating his daughter's luxurious birthday at a luxury hotel.

The video of the luxury of the 17th birthday party of the Riau Regional Secretary was uploaded by the Twitter account @PartaiSocmed.

RF Hariyanto's wife is also in the spotlight of netizens about her collection of luxury bags and photos of her vacation abroad.

This prompted the KPK to send an invitation to clarify LHKPN for the person concerned.

Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian stated that he had ordered the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs to clarify Hariyanto's case.
