South Tangerang Mayor Asks Satpol PP To Help Police Prevent Brawl During Ramadan

TANGERANG - Mayor of South Tangerang, Benyamin Davnie ordered the South Tangerang (Tangsel) Satpol PP to help the police in anticipating brawls during this Ramadan. This is done to prevent something that is not cold.

"I have also asked the Satpol PP to carry out patrols together with the police to anticipate if there is of course law enforcement there," Benjamin told reporters at the South Tangerang DPRD, Monday, March 27.

Benjamin also appealed to his citizens not to hold a number of activities such as Sahur On The Road (SOTR) and convoys. This is considered to cause friction between groups.

"I appeal to the public, so the sahur on the road is abolished and then the convoy is prohibited," he said.

The number one person in South Tangerang also invited his citizens to keep their territory safe and conducive during the month of Ramadan 2023.

"Our children are orderly in the fasting month like this, there should be no friction so that the atmosphere is conducive in South Tangerang," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that 18 teenagers were arrested by the Pasar Kemis Police. They were arrested for allegedly carrying out a sarong war ahead of the Ramadan sahur.

The 18 teenagers had the initials MI (18), MF (17), FN (16), RF (16), RA (16), NF (15), AP (14), FW (15), DA (14), FD (15), MD (14) CT (14), MH (17), DM (15), YA (18), RS (17), BN (17) and RS (17).

Kapolsek Pasar Kemis, Kompol Maryadi mengatakan kejadian itu terjadi di depan Masjid Al Islah Perum Taman Walet Blok C, Pasar Kemis, Kabupaten Tangerang, Sabtu, 25 Maret, pukul 01.30 WIB.
