Gerindra Ready To Challenge Coalition For Change For Unity That Carries Anies Baswedan

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party welcomes the formation of the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP) which is filled by the NasDem Party, the Democratic Party and PKS to carry the former governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2024. "We congratulate PKS, Democrats, NasDem who have formed a Coalition for Change and Unity to nominate Anies as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election," said Gerindra Deputy Chairperson, Habiburokhman, Saturday, March 25. Habiburokhman said his party, which is part of the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) with PKB, stated that they are ready to compete with KPP in the 2024 presidential election. Although until now, the Gerindra-PKB coalition has not determined who the presidential candidate will be promoted in the upcoming elections. "Gerindra, who is also already a coalition with PKB, has stated that they are ready to compete in a healthy spirit of fastabiqul khoirot (races in goodness)," he said.

The member of the DPR invited all parties to make the 2024 General Election a place to contest ideas based on vision, mission and programs. "We keep the 2024 General Election away from an antagonist contradiction. We create and we maintain a friendly, harmonious and peaceful situation from the elite level until the grass root in society," he said.
