JAKARTA - The wife of the President of the United States (US) Melania Trump reportedly canceled her schedule to appear in her husband's campaign, Donald Trump. Melania admitted to experiencing health problems and is currently recovering from COVID-19. Indeed, looking at history, Melania is not alive to appear in the campaign, differentiating herself from the rest of the Trump family.

Melania was previously set to join the Trump campaign in Pennsylvania on the evening of Tuesday, October 10. But he decided not to join the campaign.

"Mrs Trump continues to feel better every day after recovering from COVID-19, but with a persistent cough, and being very careful, she will not be traveling today," said Stephanie Grisham, chief of staff for the first lady.

The campaign will actually be the first lady's first live appearance at a campaign event, outside of her speech at the Republican National Convention in August at the White House. Melania last appeared in June at the official opening of elections in Florida.

Melania previously wrote an explanation last week of her COVID-19 symptoms, "hit me at once and it looked like a roller coaster." He described experiencing body aches, coughing, headaches and feeling very tired.

Historically, Melania Trump was not someone who actively attended open campaigns. He avoided making public appearances while other Trump representatives who were also members of the Trump family roamed the country.

In the entire 2016 election cycle, Melania Trump made few speeches. He delivers a speech in Pennsylvania, five days before the 2016 election and comes after several months of absence from the campaign.

"I'm an immigrant, and let me tell you that no one values American freedom and opportunity more than I do," said Melania at the time, after being introduced by Mike Pence's wife, Karen Pence, an active campaigner in 2016 and 2020.

In 2016, what the public saw the most about their future first lady was her attendance at the presidential debate, something Melania also did this time. He attended Trump's debate against Joe Biden in Ohio and he is expected to attend the final 2020 presidential debate on Thursday 22 October in Nashville, Tennessee.

If Melania Trump looks doubtful, 2020 proves that Melania Trump remains ambivalent. This is evident by the stepchildren campaigning more actively and hosting campaign events over the last few weeks in key states on the battlefield.

With several big-name Republican successors outside his family, and a lack of participation from his wife, Trump's children do most of the talk with voters. This week, Ivanka Trump will make stops in Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Florida. Meanwhile Eric Trump headed to New Hampshire and Michigan, and his wife, Lara Trump, went to Nevada and Arizona. Donald Trump Jr. will attend events in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
