Anji And Ady Ex-NAFF Allude To LMKN And WAMI Which Are Considered Not To Side With Song Creators

JAKARTA - Anji and Ady, former NAFF vocalists, discussed the ban on singing songs which have recently been in the spotlight in the Indonesian music industry.

Recently, Ady, through an open statement banning her former band, NAT performed his songs at each performance.

However, Anji asked Ady how his response regarding the statements of Wahana Musik Indonesia (WAMI) and the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN) which said songwriters were not allowed to prohibit someone from performing their songs on stage.

Hearing what Anji said, Ady laughed. He didn't see any problems when songwriters forbade someone to perform his songs.

"We have to separate LMKs where he has to pay royalties there with my rights for my works. If I forbid it, where is the problem?" said Ady, former NAFF, thank you on the world YouTube channel MANJI, Wednesday, October 11.

According to Ady, WAMI, as one of the Collective Management Institutions (LMK), should be able to mediate when songwriters and song users are in conflict.

In fact, said Ady, LMK should have defended the rights of a songwriter.

According to me, LMK should be present to defend the rights of the creator, if they distribute it, work for it. Why are they not present for us? How come they don't lose. Why are users' rights defended? " said Ady.

Anji also agreed with Ady, the former NAFF. He assessed that the law governing the copyright of the song is still unclear.

"There are several articles in the Copyright Law that do make this gray, between the rights of creators and the rights of users," said Anji.
