Left Behind By Gerald Liu, Weird Genius Will Continue To Evolution

JAKARTA - Weird Genius through his official Instagram account stated that they will part ways with Gerald Liu in the near future.

Meanwhile, the final stage of Weird Genius with Gerald Liu will take place at the Playlist Festival, Bandung on October 21.

Despite being left behind by Gerald Liu, Weird Genius stated that they will continue to evolve as a music group.

Later on our next evolution! wrote Weird Genius in a statement on his official Instagram, seen Tuesday, October 10.

Berdasarkan pengalaman Weird Genius yang sudah berkarya sejak 2016, diberikan oleh personelnya bukan hal yang baru.

In 2019, Weird Genius separated from Billy Taner in the disc jockey (DJ) position. Gerald Liu, who plays the same tool, was also present as a substitute.

Weird Genius also sees togetherness with Gerald Liu as his own color for the group. There is no doubt about his contribution as a member.

The last four years have been a historic year for us. Channel some of the best works and color the stage after stage that we had never thought of before," wrote Weird Genius.

"Of course, our journey cannot be separated from Gerald's contribution, as one of Weird Genius's members. We are grateful for Gerald's dedication and contribution to Weird Genius. Every trip has its own twists and challenges, we agreed to start a new stage," he continued.

However, Weird Genius has yet to announce whether Gerald Liu's position will be replaced by another musician or group will continue with the remaining two personnel, Reza Arap and Eka Gustiwana.
