JAKARTA - Jakarta Philharmonic Choir (JPC) successfully held its first concert at the H. Usmar Ismail Film Building, South Jakarta on Saturday, September 16 evening.

Led by Sukanty Sidharta as a conductor, 45 children and teenagers who are members of the JPC present 13 repertoars, ranging from children's songs, national songs, popular songs and classic songs.

The show opened with the performance of the entire choir team performing the Indonesian song created by Mrs. Soed.

Then, the show continued by presenting seven other repertoires, including Candra Buana, Medley Lagu Anak, The Jinglin Jinglin Rag and O Sole Mio.

After about 15 minutes of rest, the show continued with five more repertoires. Gabriel Harvianto as the guest singer also performed with JPC.

The show closed with Repertoar Amigos Para Siempre, which previously also had time to bring some of The Little Mermaid soundtracks.

The entire repertoire in the JPC inaugural concert was arranged by Aminoto Kosin and Vania Devina Siregar.

Sukanty Sidharta, who is the Chair of the JPC, said that this inaugural concert became a JPC event to introduce himself to the wider community.

"We venture to introduce ourselves to the community and want to give colors in the world of choirs," said Sukanty.

"Thank you to all Jakarta members Philharmonic Choir who have worked hard to be able to sing in this concert," he added.

For information, JPC was founded in April 2022 by Jakarta caregivers Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO), Neneng Rahardja, Aminoto Kosin and Sukanty Sidharta.

JPC is an independent choir community that without relying on JPO. JPC currently focuses on being a community of children and youth choir whose members are stretched from elementary to college students.

JPC has a mission to educate, teach and equip the younger generation to get to know, learn and love music, especially the choir. Therefore, JPC members develop skills in various music streams, not only focusing on songs in the classic music genre.
