Atiek CB Wants To Spend Old Age In Indonesia, Will You Be Active In Music Again?

JAKARTA - Senior singer Atiek CB has lived in the United States since the 1990s, since marrying Lawrence Smith.

However, Atiek said that she and her husband plan to kill old age in Indonesia. He wants to return to his hometown in Kediri, East Java.

"It looks like my husband prefers to be here (Indonesia). Later when he retires, he wants to move to Kediri," said Atiek CB in Tendean, South Jakarta this week.

When asked whether to be active in music when living in the country later, Atiek could not confirm yet.

She just doesn't want her old age to be lonely if she continues to live with her husband in the United States.

"Because old age in America seems lonely, it looks sad, away from children who work and grandchildren," said Atiek CB.

"Usually old ones (in the United States) are placed in nursing homes," he continued.

Meanwhile, Atiek CB's recent presence in Indonesia was invited to sing at several events, including the Mayangsari Concert and Mount Bromo Jazz 2023.

In addition to returning to music, Atiek CB also took the time to meet his mother and take a vacation to several tourist destinations.

Regarding her life in the United States so far, Atiek admitted that she spent more time as a housewife.

"In America, yes, housewives. I used to work, but now I don't. So, I'm just at home with my husband. Just let me work," concluded Atiek CB.
