This Is Kadri Mohamad's Response To Anji's Upload About Permission To Bring Songs

JAKARTA - Singer and lawyer, Kadri Mohamad responded to Anji's upload regarding the permission given by U2 to Putri Ariani when performing the song I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For with a permit issue to perform songs that are currently being highlighted in the Indonesian music industry.

Kadri, whose name was mentioned by Anji, replied to the upload of the former vocalist of Drive with his argument regarding Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI).

Kadri saw that the cases that occurred in U2 and Putri Ariani were not limited to performing rights, as Anji said.

Kadri said his legal analysis would not miss. He also mentioned the name of Prof. Ramli, Professor of HAKI from Padjajaran University as well as the coordinator of the Copyright Law (UUHC), whose opinion is also similar to what he put forward.

"That the performance right treatment is different. The applicable LMK/LMKN system. Prof. Ramli's reference is the best because he is the lawmaker who made the law at that time. He knows what UUHC means. There is no need for permission to just pay. Because there is no loophole to ban it, "said Kadri.

The MAKARA vocalist also stated that his opinion was similar to other lawyers who focused on HAKI, the National Collective Management Institute and the Director of KI KUMHAM.

"It must be confirmed where else. If Anji doesn't believe it, that's your business bro. Stop this debate," he said.

Kadri feels that all parties must think about the best solution related to HAKI, so that those who do not understand are not distorted by wrong statements.
