Tobing Post Officially Reports 3 Box Personnel On Alleged Violations Of The Copyright Law

JAKARTA - Haposan Harianto Tobing alias Posan Tobing officially reported three Kotak personnel, namely Tantri Syalindri Ichlasari (Tantri/vocals), Swasti Sabdastantri (Chua/bass) and Mario Marcella Handika Putra (Cella/guitar) to Polda Metro Jaya today, Wednesday, August 6.

Accompanied by a lawyer and two colleagues, Posan Tobing reported the people who were called friends for alleged violations of the Copyright Law.

"So, today is the final time for us to try to give mediation time, we also don't heed it, and tend to ignore it more," said Jerys Napitupulu, Posan Tobing's attorney.

There are allegations of violations of Posan's songs sung by Tantri, Chua and Cella. It has been categorized as alleged violation of Article 9 in conjunction with Article 113 of the Copyright Law, Number 28 of 2014. That's what we reported today," he continued.

Meanwhile, the poor response of three Kotak personnel to the summons sent by Posan was the reason the police report was sent.

Posan's attorney admitted that he had sent four summons, the last of which was an open subpoena, which was sent on July 7.

Posan stated that he was willing to forgive three Box personnel for events in the past, but he wanted the copyright-related legal process to continue.

"For Tantri, Cella and Chua, there are no more confusion. As good Indonesian citizens, we have spoken personally, we have forgiven, but because this is a state of law, the process is still going on," said Posan Tobing.

"For Tantri, Cella and Chua, let's prove it in court," he said.
