In A State Of Grief And Without The Presence Of Katharine Total, David Foster Still Appears To Be Entertaining In Private Concert

JAKARTA - David Foster appeared in the 2023 Premium Music Experience by Bank OCBC NISP at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) in a state of mourning. David Koster showed a slick performance even though his family had just been hit by a disaster.

Before the concert started, Friday, August 11, Choky Sitohang as the master of ceremonies (MC) that the wife of David Foster, Katharine fire, who should have appeared had to return to the United States because of the disaster.

"Katharine must return as soon as possible (to the United States) to be with his family," said Choky Sitohang.

"So, with a heavy heart, we want to inform you that Katharineani can't be with us tonight. She apologized for not being able to attend tonight," he continued.

Then, David Foster came on stage and explained what really happened. He said that a decision had to be made, but without lowering the quality of his concert.

"My wife, Katharine should be here to sing, but she can't come here, she's home. Unfortunately our family is facing a disaster that really breaks our hearts. Finally we have to make a decision, he has to go home and I stay here to show you the best," said David Foster to the applause of the audience.

He did not want to make his grief as an excuse not to show his best.

"I don't want to bribe you into this story. I will try to put it aside first, because music is a good healing. Thank you," said David, who was again greeted with applause.

Next, the winner of the 16 Grammys performed the hits that had been prepared. Peabo Bryson, Loren Allred, Michael Bolton, Raisa to Dira Sugandi alternately appeared with their respective songs.

In this concert, David Foster also gave two customers of Bank OCBC NISP who were on the audience bench to sing with the band. Celine from Surabaya sang Because You Loved Me, and David who was also from Surabaya sang Can't Help Falling in Love With You.

Through the signature of this Premium Music Experience event, Bank OCBC NISP has brought exciting exclusive entertainment from year to year. The previous year, they presented Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR) and Christian Bautista by inviting more than 1,200 Premier Banking customers.
