Kunto Aji Introduces New Albums Through Intimate Hearing Sessions Sowan Album III

JAKARTA - Kunto Aji has a special surprise for his fans who are looking forward to a new album after the Mantra touched the hearts and ears of listeners throughout Indonesia five years ago.

Through Sowan Album III's intimate hearing, the singer, songwriter and musician from Yogyakarta who now lives in Jakarta gave fans the opportunity to first hear their third album before it was officially circulated to the public in September 2023.

Held by the Production Plan Design, Sowan Album III will take place in four sessions at Studio Gripa, South Jakarta, with one session per day on August 31 and September 1 and two sessions on September 2.

"Honestly, this is actually more of a personal desire," said Kunto Aji regarding the decision to introduce his latest album through the Sowan Album III program.

"I want listeners to listen to the album with an audio quality that is okay and a complete experience where I will tell you what this album is about, and hope they can get into the album story."

Sowan Album III will open with a silent hearing segment where each audience wears headphones that are provided specifically for this event so that they can listen to the album together more thoroughly.

From the beginning, I really wanted to make a hearing session using this method, because I also have more attention in terms of production, sound procedures and all kinds of things. So I want listeners to really listen to the quality as best they can so they can hear the details," according to Aji.

After hearing the album together, the Sowan Album III program will be followed by a talk segment where Kunto Aji will tell about her album and listen to the listeners' responses.

"I will explain what you want to convey on this album, why write this album, and explain the song per song," said Aji.

I also want to know the opinion of listeners, whether it's a matter of the simplest single selection or their own interpretation of the songs.

Finally, on the Sowan Album III show Kunto Aji will present songs from his third album whose titles and details are still kept secret on stage for the first time. Or rather, trying to present the songs on stage.

"This is also a place to practice presenting this album to the public, because the album was released without thinking about how to perform it on stage," he added.

"So it would be fun if it was delivered as easily as possible, even if there was a little mistake. Instead, it will be a zone to experiment with what will be played."

It can be ascertained that Sowan Album III will be a special moment that will at the same time start a new chapter on Kunto Aji's musical journey after the album Generation Y (2015) and Mantra (2018) confirmed itself as worthy artists to take into account.
