The Fun Of The Yovie Widianto Concert When Carlo Saba's Voice 'Tempanies' Kahitna

JAKARTA - The band Kahitna appeared to entertain their fanatical fans or "soulmate" with several songs wrapped in a cheerful romantic spirit atmosphere with emotion at the concert "Yovie Widanto: Billion Songs Confest" at the Jakarta Convention Center, Wednesday.

The big concert was indeed the group's first momentum to appear without the presence of one of their vocalists, the late Carlo Saba, who died on April 19.

Opening the appearance through the song "Love Story" which was released in 1994, vocalist Kahitna, Hedi Yunus and Mario Ginanjar appeared in a suit all black.

"So, the first person to realize that Hedi Yunus has a good voice is Carlo Saba," said Yovie after Kahitna performing the song "Love Story" quoted by Antara, Thursday.

He then tells the story of the initial journey to form Kahitna, introduce with a number of other musicians, to the dynamics of friendship within the body of a music group who is now 37 years old.

"In March 1987, I sang accompanied by Kahitna in the old form and I just now know that it was Carlo who gave advice to Yovie to invite me to join," said Hedi Yunus, who still couldn't hide his sadness.

In the middle of a chat between Hedi, Yovie, and Mario about the intricacies of the band's journey, a video visualization and the voice of the late Carlo Saba appeared singing one part of the song "Cinta Sendiri".

"Let me go, if it's not for sure. Is there all this time, I love myself. Let me be sidelined, I'm not tired of waiting. But what does it mean to love the shadow. I feel sad. In fact, love doesn't always have to be. Honestly, I'm not sure I can live a day without you," said the late Carlo Saba, amazingly, which made the atmosphere exciting for a moment.

Vocalist Mario Ginanjar then said, "There are so many memories of Mas Carlo. We will continue to be together at any time. Hopefully in the future we will be even more compact, even cooler, even stronger," he said slowly, greeted by applause from the audience.

Hedi Yunus then responded in a faint voice, "It feels good to have been together for years, even more often to meet Kahitna than family. But suddenly one of them disappeared. It hurts."

"Maybe Mas Yovie doesn't know, but earlier on stage we were given earrings and a ring belonging to Mas Carlo. So, today there is Mas Carlo who is accompanying us here," said Mario and Hedi, who wore a friend's accessory before singing the song "If He Knows".
