Launching Next Month, BYD Song L Has Been Ordered 11,000 Units

JAKARTA - BYD, a well-known automotive manufacturer, continues to introduce the latest innovations in the realm of electric cars that are in great demand. One of its newest products, the Song L SUV, is planned to be launched on December 15, and has now managed to collect more than 11,000 orders.

Reporting from the Electrek page, Tuesday, November 21, BYD previously presented the concept of a new Song L EV on the Shanghai Auto Show in April. As part of the Dynasty series, this electric couple SUV is expected to be a serious competitor to Tesla Model Y and ZEEEKR 001.

After opening pre-order on October 31, 2023, BYD proudly announced that Song L had managed to get more than 11,000 orderers in a relatively short time, which was only 17 days since the opening of the order.

The high enthusiasm of automotive lovers towards this new model is undeniable, and a great opportunity for Song L to become the favorite SUV on the market. This is certainly a positive boost for BYD in establishing its position globally.

For additional information, the BYD's latest electric SUV is available in five variants with prices ranging from 220,000 to 280,000 yuan, equivalent to the range of IDR 477 to 600 million. The diversity of these variants provides broad options for potential buyers according to their needs and preferences.

This electric car comes in two versions of the motorbike, namely single and double. Single motorbikes have a peak power of 150 kW or 230 kW, while the double version adds a front motorbike of 150 kW to achieve a combined maximum power of 380 kW.

This electric SUV is powered by a Blade BYD battery with a capacity of 71.8 kWh or 87 kWh. For a single version of the motor, the range reaches 550 km or 662 km according to CLTC data, while the dual engine, powered by the Blade 87 kWh battery, has a range of up to 602 km based on CLTC data.
