Polestar 6 Doesn't Become Limited Produced, Made If Someone Orders

JAKARTA - Several times Polestar officials have said that Polestar 6 electricity convertible is only available for 500 units, but Polestar is now adjusting its production strategy to market demand.

"Production will not stop at 500 if people want it," Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath said in a recent announcement.

This change of approach in response to very high demand, in which each unit of the 500 LA Concept editions announced last year was immediately ordered out.

Polestar emphasizes daily practice for Polestar 6. According to Polestar's Head of Design, Maximilian Missoni, Polestar 6 is designed to be a "daily electric sports car."

"It can create a balance between everyday use and high performance capabilities," he added.

It is known, this Swedish brand prefers to produce limited production for each model as in Polestar 1 which is limited to only 1,500 units for three years.

The Polestar 6 production car is said to be using a folding hard roof inspired by the Polestar O2 concept and will be placed on the same aluminium platform as Polestar 5.

Under the hood, the 800-volt electric dual-motor setup can produce 872 dk of power and 898 Nm of torque which is sufficient for a convertible model, especially if it can be made lighter.

However, Polestar 6 is not only expected to excel in terms of acceleration. Polestar does plan to use a sophisticated suspension and a sturdy but lightweight body to produce something that can compete with the best brands in the world, where Porsche 911 is specifically mentioned as benchmark.

Polestar 6 is scheduled for release in 2026 and can compete with Maserati GranCabrio Folgore.
