The Latest Generation Of Vellfire Officially Enters Malaysia, When In Indonesia? This Is Toyota's Answer

JAKARTA - After being launched a few months ago, the latest generation of Toyota Vellfire was officially launched in Malaysia. This model is only presented in the Entry-Level variant, this model gets style changes to the performance offered.

Reporting from Paultan, Monday, October 23, the car design appeared fresher with a length of 5,005 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, height, 1,950 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, providing comfort for passengers.

In the design that carries the theme "Forceful x Impact Luxury", the front of the car looks very different from the previous generation. The front light becomes thinner and neatly arranged.

Just like his brother Alphard, this new Vellfire model still maintains a large goal design. However, this MPV looks more enthusiastic with wider air-intake, giving the aerodynamics the advantage of the car.

Speaking of Vellfire, the most important part lies in the interior. Toyota has developed facilities such as Super-Long Overhead Console located on the ceiling of the car, Universal Step as passenger footing, and Center Pillar Long Assist Grip which helps passengers get into the vehicle.

In addition to offering luxury, the Vellfire is equipped with advanced features that help drivers, such as Intra-Lane Steering Assist, Deceleration Assist, Remote Park, Cruise Control, and Lane Tracing Assist.

For the Malaysian market, the premium MPV gets a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder 2AR-FE engine that produces up to 182 ps of power and a 235 Nm naturally-assisted torque combined with a Super CVT-i transmission with seven virtual ratios in manual mode. The highest speed is 170 km/hour and fuel consumption is claimed to be 9.1 liters per 100 km.

Unlike those sold in Japan, the MPV is priced at a cheaper price than Alphard. The latest Toyota Vellfire sells for 438,000 ringgit or the equivalent of Rp. 1,456 billion. Well, if this car has greeted the Malaysian market, what about Indonesia?

Currently in Indonesia, Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) still sells third-generation Vellfires available in one variant, 2.5G A/T, at a price of around Rp. 1.399 billion On The Road Jakarta.

Responding to the opportunity for the presence of Vellfire's latest generation to Indonesia, Anton Jimmi Suwandy, as Marketing Director of TAM, could not comment on this, even though APM launched Alphard first at GIIAS 2023.

"We have not been able to comment on the new model," said Anton when contacted by VOI, Monday, October 23.
