JAKARTA - Indonesia Modification and Lifestyle Expo (IMX) 2023 is a stage for modifiers to show off their work to the public.
The event, which took place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta, presented various modifications that attracted quite attention.
One of the modifications that captivated visitors' eyes was the Datsun 620 S Pick Up by Drivetech Auto Garage. This car comes with a very different look.
At first glance, the car, known as Datsun "Curut", did not change. However, when viewed closely, the modifications are clearly visible. The assembly site of the modifications gives a change to the pinning feder, bumper, engine, and interior.
Andi, the Datsun owner of Drivetech Auto Garage, said that this car was inspired by modifications in the style of Hamuta in Japan.
"This modification was inspired by the concept of Hamuta Japan. So, the body is imported from there (Japan)," Andi told VOI, Saturday, September 30.
Although the modification looks simple, the process of modifying this car takes 3 years. This includes component search and other work.
"There are several parts that are imported from here, but parts such as dashboards and import grips from Japan. The work can take 3 years," explained Andi.

In addition to the attractive Japanese retro pickup-style appearance, Datsun 620 S is equipped with the legendary engine from Nissan, namely SR20. However, the heart of the runway is within standard specifications and will be changed in the future.
"If we use the engine, we use SR20. However, it is still standard. The engine has not been completely changed and will be processed again," added Andi.
The modification is even more complete with the embedding of the "GTR" emblem in the front goal, which makes it like the third generation Nissan Skyline GTR or C10. Keep in mind, Datsun is a subsidiary of Nissan.
"Datsun 620 S in Japan does look like Skyline in the 70s. Therefore, we use the GT-R logo so that it looks like that model," concluded Andi.
