JAKARTA - South Korean automotive company Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) announced that it has surpassed 10 million global connected car service subscribers this month.
This extraordinary achievement occurred within one year 10 months after reaching five million subscribers in August 2021. This rapid growth supports the acceleration of the group's strategy, namely Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV).
Hae-Young Kwon, as Vice President of the Infotainment Development Center HMG, said that his party has the aim of accelerating the transfer to the SDV era by only focusing on software technology. He also hopes that his party can expand its ecosystem by providing good mobility services.

The service has grown beyond the base, such as real-time navigation, voice recognition, and remote vehicle control, to include innovative services, such as over-the-air (OTA) updates, in-car payments, and audio/video streaming. Hyundai Motor, Kia and Genesis currently operate Bluelink, Kia Connect and Genesis Connected services.
The service was introduced to Hyundai Motor Group in 2003 and after that has expanded its services to the global market. In the intercontinental market, the service was released for the US market in June 2011, and after that it was widened to countries such as India, China, and several European continent countries. The service has reached more than 50 customers.
Global subscribers reached 1 million in May 2018, followed by 5 million in August 2021, 8 million in October 2022, and 10 million this month, showing rapid growth.
