Living In The Netherlands During A Pandemic, Nova Eliza Experiences Difficulties

JAKARTA - Nova Eliza is known to have lived for several years in the Netherlands with her husband and children. But now she has finally decided to return to Indonesia.

"He had lived in the Netherlands, yes (now in Jakarta)," said Nova Eliza in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta, Sunday, November 5.

Nova said the reason he chose to move to the Netherlands was because of the coronavirus pandemic a few years ago. After the pandemic began to recede, Nova and his family returned to Indonesia.

"Yesterday, because of the pandemic, now it's not a pandemic, and my son is really Indonesia, and so we decided to return to Indonesia," he continued.

During his stay in the Netherlands, Nova admitted that he faced several difficulties and differences with Indonesia. The most striking difference for him is weather, culture and language.

According to this 43-year-old woman, the weather in the Netherlands is very cold compared to Indonesia. In addition, the Dutch habit of using Dutch compared to English is also a challenge for Nova.

"It's cold, it's cold there, it's really hot here. Maybe it's the same with the language of the river, and the culture is really different, there's a language that uses the Dutch really, everywhere using Dutch, yes, there's English, but they are more concerned with Dutch," he said.
