The Story Behind The Song Remembering The Star That Becomes Sherina's Adventure OST 2

JAKARTA - The song Remembering Bintang is one of the original soundtracks (OST) of Sherina's Adventure 2 which was released along with five other songs.

Sung duet by Sherina Munaf and Derby Romero, Remembering Bintang was created by Sherina herself and the lyrics were written by Mira Lesmana and Virania Munaf.

Sherina Munaf explained that the song Remembering Bintang was a continuation of the song Bintang Bintang which became the OST on Sherina's Adventure which was released in 2000 and created by Elfa Secioria.

"Stars will always be there, shining and accompanying Sherina and Sadam's journey until they meet again one day," said Sherina Munaf in her statement, Sunday, October 1.

Meanwhile, the selection of the title Remembering Bintang has its own reasons. Like the light of the star, it took a long time to get to Earth, for Sherina it became a metaphor for the depiction of Sherina and Derby who were reminiscing about their togetherness 23 years ago.

Sherina's inspiration in working on the song Remembering Bintang also cannot be separated from the song Bintang Bintang, as well as the competition for the characters of Sherina and Sadam in the script for Sherina's Adventure 2.

I want a song that plays like a lullaby, but still has the life of Bintang Bintang. The Choir in this song is also reinforced by singers who graduated from Elfa Music Studio and Ucie Nurul, Elfas Singers who also act as Sherina's mother in the first and second films. Their voices are made as if the stars are singing so they don't lose touch from the nuances of the previous song. Mixing is made to echo, as if those who sing are not humans," said Sherina.

"I want to remember that Bintang has a sense that can bring longing to the listeners, as well as bring them to create new memories in this second film," he continued.

Meanwhile, Derby Romero admitted to being amazed when he first heard of Knowing the Star created by Sherina. The song reminds him of the story of Sherina and Sadam as children.
