Sherina 2's Adventure Film Decorated With New Songs By Sherina Munaf, Mira Lesmana, And Virania Munaf

JAKARTA Sherina 2's Adventure Film launched an official poster and trailer at a press conference in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 20. The official poster launched still reminds us of the initial poster of the film Adventure Sherina 2 which was published in June 2022, but with a modern twist.

The two main characters, SHERINA (Sherina Munaf) and SADAM (Derby Romero), stood leaning on a tall tree with the beautiful nuances of the Kalimantan forest being the background of the poster.

After the audience was curious when the leaked scene was released last May, now we will all get a story picture of the film Adventure Sherina 2. If the leaked scene shows Sherina and Sadam arguing, in the trailer the sweet reunion of two friends who meet again.

We are also invited to reunite with adult Sherina and Sadam. Sherina is now a smart and brave journalist, while Sadam has become the program manager for a conservation NGO in the forest of Kalimantan.

The warmth between them was immediately felt, starting with a cheerful singing like two friends who let go of their longing, but their nostalgic moment suddenly changed when a criminal group stole a released orangutan child. Their friendship was tested and they were again dragged into a drama-packed adventure in the form of action, singing, and charming dancing.

New characters introduced through social media some time ago, in this trailer are also displayed so that viewers can get to know these new characters more closely. They are RATHIH (Isyana Sarasvati), ARYO (Ardit Erwandha), DEDI (Randy Danistha), SYAILENDRA (Chandra Satria), PINGKAN (Kelly Tandiono), and SINDAI (Quinn Salman).

There are so many scenes that can be chosen to enter the trailer. This film has drama, has action adventure, also has singing and dance. Not to mention a number of scenes that are full of nostalgia and adorable," said Mira Lesmana, producer, about the trailer creation process. But the main focus of course we want viewers to get a picture of the story of Sherina and Sadam and their new adventures, as well as introduce snippets of several new songs in this sequel," he continued.

In this trailer, a snippet of 3 new songs will be played which will later be included in the film Adventure Sherina 2.

I really can't wait for all my friends to hear what we have been doing over the past three years. The songs that are shown through the trailer, even though they are still pieces, I hope they can be an opportunity to watch the film Adventure of Sherina 2 and enjoy all the songs and reminisce together," said Sherina Munaf, the main character who is also the Singer of Music and Song Creator whose lyrics are written with Mira Lesmana and Virania Munaf.

As promised from the start, through the trailer, the film Adventure Sherina 2 shows several action scenes, which are new elements compared to the previous film.

"The elements of action in this film are part of the adventure story of our two main characters, namely Sherina and Sadam while living an unexpected story," said Riri Riza, the director.

The 'Sherina and Sadam we know are very energetic individuals, like to explore outdoors, and like to travel like an adventure. So it feels natural to face the challenges of the journey as they face in this film's story and of course there will be more excitement to look forward to," he said.

Sherina 2's Adventure Film is scheduled to start showing September 28, 2023 in theaters.
