The Boy Record Player Reveals Different And Interesting Things From The Reboot Version

JAKARTA - The reboot version of the film Note Si Boy will be here to greet Indonesian film lovers in the near future. The film, directed by Hanung Bramantyo, is based on the previous version released in 1987.

The players of Catatan Si Boy, including Angga Yunanda, Arya Vasco, Carmela van der Kruk and Elmand, visited the VOI office in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta and revealed different and interesting things from the reboot version.

Angga Yunanda, who plays Boy, said that the most basic difference from the reboot version is the choice of time background. If the original version uses the 1980s background, the reboot version selects the 2023 background.

"Era in this reboot version is very different. We are a very Gen Z background, in 2023. Of course, the hits are also in today's era," said Angga Yunanda, Wednesday, July 12.

"The similarity may be the same in terms of the story, the characters are still the same, the difference is the time and place," he continued.

Then, Angga and other players also talked about the interesting things presented in the reboot version of the film Note Si Boy.

Angga said the reboot version could be enjoyed by all people with different experiences. For those who have watched it, you can reminisce. Meanwhile, those who haven't, will find something new from the work of legendary films.

"For me personally (which is interesting) the story. For friends who have watched it, maybe they will reminisce again. For Gen Z and Millennials like us, we will definitely find something fresh," said Angga.

According to Angga Yunanda, Carmela van der Kruk said that this film was being worked on in a very balanced manner. Although there is something new, the basis for the original version is not just eliminated.

"This is different but still the same as the previous one. So, the balance is very good. What we already have, we pack it again, so that it can be accepted by Gen Z or Millennials," said Carmela.

Not quite there, Arya Vasco also saw the actors involved, mostly talented young actors with great potential to become top Indonesian actors.

"For those of you who want to see young actors playing together, you can watch this film. Not only young actors, senior actors who play also have names," said Arya.

Meanwhile, Elmand said Hanung Bramantyo's presence as a director was an added value in itself. He said the director was very serious about working on Boy's Note.

"What's interesting is that the film was worked on with Mas Hanung. This film is worked on very seriously so that it can balance with the previous one," he said.
