Virgoun Withdraws Divorce Lawsuit Against Inara Rusli, What's Up?

JAKARTA - Virgoun withdrew the divorce suit filed against Inara Rusli. In a trial at the West Jakarta Religious Court (PA) today, Wednesday, May 17, Virgoun was represented by his legal team to withdraw the lawsuit filed on May 4.

"So today, Wednesday, May 17, 2023 is Virgoun's first trial. The trial was held earlier. His parties were present, both from the applicant, us and from the respondent," said Hadisukrisno, one of Virgoun's legal team after the trial.

"Today's agenda is one, so today we are withdrawing the lawsuit or the application we submitted," he continued.

Meanwhile, the trial which was originally scheduled for mediation had to end briefly because Virgoun as the applicant withdrew the lawsuit and planned to file a new lawsuit.

Hadisukrisno said that the reason his client wanted to file a new lawsuit was because the previous lawsuit was not included in child custody. Virgoun, who initially wanted his three children to be cared for together, changed his mind and wanted to get the right to see the child.

"Because previously we did not include children's problems to be cared for or hadhanah belonging to our request. It's just that in the last day there was a discussion that the hadhanah that we wanted to take care of was together, we wanted to ask for it," said Hadisukrisno.

The attorney said that the request was not only decided by Virgoun alone, but the extended family also supported the child's right to visit the father.

The lawsuit is just planned to be filed on Friday, May 19.

"So on this occasion we said that within a day or two we will further advance the lawsuit. We will add it, including the child we will ask for in his petition," concluded Hadisukrisno, Virgoun's attorney.
