BLACKPINK Heats Up Stage Coachella Second Week

JAKARTA - BLACKPINK again appeared as a headliner at the Coachella music festival on Saturday, April 22 US time. At the Empire Polo Club, California, they performed various hits to hundreds of festival audiences.

The stage opened with Pink Venom where Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé wore Hanbok outer, traditional Korean clothes. Unlike the first week, this time BLACKPINK wore pink clothes.

"How are you all? This is the second week we performed at Coachella and it feels unbelievable. Thank you so much for welcoming us," said Rosé.

They greeted the audience in Korean before continuing their appearance with Kill This Love, Savage, Kick It. as well as singing one of their debut songs, Whistle.

In this appearance, BLACKPINK members also performed their solo songs. Jennie became the first to sing You & Me, a solo song that she had not released officially but had already been performed on the BORN PINK tour.

Then Jisoo sang Flower, the solo song she released at the end of last April. Followed by Rosé featuring Gone and On the Ground. This solo performance closed with Lisa singing MONEY.

A few moments later they returned to the stage in a second costume and performed b-side songs such as Playing With Fire and Typa Girl. They closed their appearance with Forever Young.

"As you can see, we give everything we have, thanks Coachella," said Jennie.

Can you believe this? Think how long we have come here and performed here. This is our dream and you show love to us who come from Korea. Thank you," added Rosé.

BLACKPINK is the first South Korean musician to become the headliner of the Coachella festival. Their performance this year is the second after previously appearing on stage as a performer in 2019.
